4387913 – Relay & Overload Whirlpool Refrigerator

APS refrigerator/freezer compressor overload relay kit is a suitable aftermarket replacement for part : 4387913 7020935 4387766 4387836.

This kit has an overload rated for 1/4 hp and a 3 pronged relay.
Can be used for Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, Amana, Subzero etc

120V hot wire goes to overload, neutral wire goes to prong 2 on relay.
Capacitor if present can connect to prongs 1 and 3 on relay.

How to test :

This 4TM overload should have electrical continuity between the mounting metal and the prong metal.
It should have around 0.2 or 0.3 ohms of resistance.
Shaking the overload is not a way to test it.
It always has a slight internal vibration.

The relay should have electrical continuity between the mounting prongs.
It should have around 5 ohms of resistance.
If the relay has an internal vibration when shaken, it is a sign that it is broken.
